And the Property Sign Said, “Abortion Is Murder”

March 16th, 2010

Now before you think this is a blog with my opinion on Roe-vs-Wade, please read on.

While driving down the street yesterday running errands, I passed a property near my home. Clearly, the staff doesn’t walk the entire property or drive it off every day. You see, one of my very best supervisors in property management always told me to inspect my property from ‘the outside in’. After all, he continued, “prospects have to get to your property from SOMEWHERE” and that means driving off your exterior perimeter if you’ve got a garden property; walking it off from a block or two back if you’ve got a high rise.

This community either wasn’t taught that, or simply doesn’t do it. Because nailed to a tree (on their property) on their heavily traveled street was the bright pink and white sign that said “Abortion is Murder”.

Agree or disagree with the sign’s sentiment, something we can all agree to is that it has no place on a property. And I think we can also agree that this property needs to know what’s going on.

I’m going to drive by later today and if it’s still up, I’m going to stop in the leasing office and let them know. I’d hate to see them lose any leases in this market.
