The “Franchise” Brochure
If you know what a ‘franchise’ brochure is, you probably work for a very large management company, perhaps one of the many REITS out there. This brochure is also known as the ’stabilized asset’ brochure. You know what I mean. It’s the brochure you get after lease up, after renovation, after stabilization on a takeover - the one that isn’t sexy, doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles and sadly, often looks exactly like your sister property’s brochure. You know - the property that you actually have to compete with that’s in your market.
Actually, there’s plenty you can do to differentiate the brochure. Head on over to sites such as Bags and Bows Online, or Nashville Wraps. They have just about anything you might possibly need to add to your brochure, such as a decorative ribbon, or bags for the brochure itself. It’s easy and inexpensive and will definitely set you apart from the rest of your sister communities.
Good luck. Those stabilized asset brochures generally aren’t too pretty to look at, but that shouldn’t stop you if you are a true marketer!

I have a question. Do you think brochures are really worth the spend?
I have rarely ever looked over a brochure I received in any high dollar transaction.
Case in point, I went to TLC vision just the other day and they started the whole presentation by handing me this beautiful pocket folder brochure with massive amounts of information.
I gave it back to them and asked for a FAQ sheet. All I really wanted was my questions answered. Not only that, I wanted something that helped me know the questions I should be asking. Beyond that I didn’t want a bunch of stuff to carry out the door with me. Stuff that I knew I would later toss in the garbage.
I think in the age of green - customizable on-line brochures are the way to go. If the person really wants one, the LC can customize and print one right on the spot.
Thumbs down to printed brochures. M
